FAQ
The B-Side at One Lucky Guitar is an intimate listening room in downtown Fort Wayne, IN. The room’s sweet spot is acoustic, singer-songwriter fare, but the room has also hosted full-band rock ’n’ roll, listening parties, poetry, dance, comedy and so on. We book artists we like. Haven't heard of 'em? Trust us. There's magic in this room, every time.
The B-Side is all about the experience; there are no TVs showing a random NFL game, no clanking of the bar, no grinding of the espresso beans, and you probably won’t have to “shush” anyone while you’re trying to listen. Most artists do a meet and greet after the show.
Where is The B-Side?
The B-Side is actually the conference room inside One Lucky Guitar, Inc.’s downtown Fort Wayne office. OLG is a boutique creative agency that specializes in branding, advertising and events.
What’s the capacity?
70; less if the performer has a large footprint. All shows are general admission. There is not a bad seat in the house.
What’s up with the ticket prices?
We do this for the love of music and live performance. All ticket fees go directly to the artist. OLG hires professional sound when requested, and throws in a bit of money if the artist’s fee exceeds ticket revenue. We use Eventbrite or Brown Paper Tickets for sales, and request that patrons buy tickets in advance of the performance; we don’t handle cash.
What do you mean, BYO?
We’re not a bar and do not sell or serve beverages. Our concerts are private events; think of them as a very quiet house party. If you’re over 21, you’re welcome to bring your own beverage of whatever sort you prefer, and responsibly enjoy it.
What’s the accessibility like?
Unfortunately, not great. The B-Side is on the second floor in a building built in ~1890 that does not have an elevator.
Are your shows all ages?
We usually say, “all ages that would enjoy it.” If you bring a minor, do so because you think they will enjoy the performance, and not detract others’ enjoyment. We do not restrict what an artist can say from the stage, so do your homework. Finally, when requested by the artist, we will indicate some shows are 18 or 21+.
How do I find out about shows?
With a capacity of 70, we don’t engage in a lot of advertising or hanging of posters. Find out about shows by visiting this website, or by following The B-Side on Facebook and Instagram. Please also sign up for our newsletter on the homepage of this site.
Can I use The B-Side for my own event?
Maybe. These events are called The B-Side (asterisk) events, where we’re the happy host, but not producer or promoter. It really depends on how things fit with OLG’s office schedule—again, this is a labor of love, so any time we’re at The B-Side, we’re not doing something else—and the positive impact the event might have on our community. Hit us up at info@oneluckyguitar.com. Be persuasive.
When is ________ coming back?
Not sure. But we’re probably working on it.
